BCM Institute, in partnership with WebEx, has organized a Free Webinar entitled “Interpreting BS 25999 Pt 2: The World’s First Internationally Recognized Standard for Business Continuity Management”. This webinar will be held on Tuesday, 5th August, 2008 at 11:30 AM (Indian Standard Time). This free online webinar is an ideal opportunity for everyone in your organization to learn and understand the requirements of BS 25999 Pt 2 from the perspective of an effective deployment within your organization. Since there are no cost implications to this event, you could choose to nominate as many people as you like, from your organization. Other than your BCM team itself, possible functional areas which can benefit from an understanding of BCM are Quality, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, HR, Information Security, Facilities and Administration, Physical Security and IT. You may also choose to have at least one person attend from each of your different buildings across the country/overseas. The speaker for this Webinar is Mr. Venkataram Arabolu, who was the first ISOI 14001 and QS 9000 Lead Auditor in India. Mr. Arabolu, who has 33 years of experience that includes senior management positions involved in running businesses, has been involved in the Indian journey of implanting of formal management systems in organizations since the advent of ISO 9000 in 1990. As Managing Director for BSI India, Mr. Arabolu is committed to ensuring the proper spread of BCM and the Bs25999 standard, so as to help Indian companies be globally competitive. Prior to joining BSI, Mr. Arabolu previously worked with DNV as the Regional Manager for the certification operations, with the Middle East, South and South East Asia, and Vietnam also reporting to him. I take the privilege of personally inviting you to register for the event.
